Estonia's healthcare system has several channels for different situations. Below all channels are listed with explanations, in order of urgency.
112 — Ambulance
Life-threatening situation: unconsciousness, difficulty breathing, severe chest pain, stroke, serious injury, poisoning. Call immediately. Do not wait.

A&E — Hospital emergency department
Urgent need for medical care but not immediately life-threatening; cannot wait until the next working day. Open 24/7. Nearest: North Estonia Medical Centre, Sütiste tee 19.

1220 — GP advice line
National telephone advice. Helps assess whether and where you need to go. Also suitable for starting a sick leave certificate at weekends (until 22:00). Note: Estonian only.

Valvekliinik — walk-in clinic
Walk-in clinic in the same building. No referral needed. Serves patients in English, Estonian, Russian and Finnish. Ideal for after-hours care when the family practice is closed.

For non-urgent medical concerns, repeat prescriptions, sick leave, referrals, certificates, follow-up appointments. Book via e-Perearstikeskus or by phone. Prior booking required.
